Not having enough sleep can be a big problem, eating good food and exercise is good and every doctor will always recommend you. But another very important thing that we must also take seriously is having enough sleep and rest.
Every sleep body call you ignore you owe, you cannot cheat nature. The body system has a way of carrying out your body regulation and that is why you feel so dizzy after a long stressful work telling you that you need enough sleep to rest. Refusing the call to sleep harms your health.
How many hours can I have enough sleep?
Many of us don’t know the amount of sleep that will be enough for the body making us sleep too much and sometimes not even enough. It is recommended that you sleep 7-8 hours a day.
When you feel groggy and grumpy after sleep, it simply means that you didn’t have enough sleep. These can frequently affect your mental abilities and expose you to the risk of physical health problems.
Possible causes of sleep deprivation
The inability to sleep well can be caused by many factors. It could be as a result of an underlying sleep disorder, the frequent habit of not having enough sleep or not sleeping at the right time.
Research have shown that not having enough sleep at night increase the risk of premature death. You make your brain not to function well and dramatically reduce your quality of life when you don’t sleep well and enough.

Research has shown that having enough sleep has a positive effect on your immune system. These immune system helps you to fight against diseases and making you stay healthy. Not having enough sleep impairs this natural ability, making you easily fall sick.
Reduces your libido
Studies have revealed that not having enough sleep can reduce your sex hormone levels to about 14 percent. In the studies young men who lost enough sleep over a week had a decrease in their testosterone levels. This reduces their vigor and may affect their fertility rate.
Risk of diabetes
People who don’t sleep well have more risk of developing diabetes. Findings show that lack of sleep affects insulin which helps you to control your blood sugar levels.
Risk of accident
Little or no sleep can expose you to an accident as it affects and drains your brain, make you weak and feel dizzy. People who don’t sleep well are more prone to car accidents and most times domestic accidents. They can also fall victim to slumping.
Lack of enough sleep can make you forgetful
Students are most times victims of this as they read all night before an exam with no proper sleep and when they get to the exam hall they find it difficult to remember all they have read. It is always advisable you sleep well before taken your exams. Not having enough sleep can make u forget things than usual.
